Welcome to St Alban's Anglican MBM

At the heart of what we do and who we are is Jesus.

Our aim is to introduce people to Jesus in a way that is relevant to their age and stage of life and show the difference Jesus makes.

We are not your typical church. We are certainly not your typical Anglican church.

We don’t just have one type of person. Men and women from over 40 different cultures attend our services. Our senior pastor is from a Maltese background but we have heaps of Aussies, plus people from the Pacific Islands, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, Northern Europe, Africa and South America.

We are a local and regional church. Some of our people live in Rooty Hill and others travel up to 30 minutes to be at church.

What to expect

St Alban’s MBM is made up of lots of different kinds of people. We range from grandpas, grandmas, mums, dads, single mums, single dads, young adults, teenagers, kids, and everyone else in between. We come from different countries and different backgrounds, each with different experiences. Some are just checking out church for the first time, while others have been here for a while.

You can expect to be greeted at the door by one of our friendly welcomers who will give you a service bulletin, a bible and show you to your seat.

Church usually goes for 1 hour and 15 minutes. During this time we sing a few songs (accompanied by a band), we have a passage read to us from the bible and the pastor speaks to us about it. Someone will say a prayer from up the front. There are also announcements where we find out what is happening during the weeks ahead and often there is a short interview with a member of our church.

We encourage people to stay for a cup of coffee and morning tea after the service.

You won’t be asked to read or pray aloud, or stand up and introduce yourself. We know how nervous a first visit anywhere can be, so we want you to feel comfortable; it's fine to just sit back and watch and listen.

Our aim is to establish them as active partners within the church of God, to the Glory of God the Father.
